The Odjit Monster

After multiple studies of monster designs and the concept of the visual flow, I decided to put these in to the test, I called it the project Catventures because at the beginning of designing this monster I realized I can count on my current understanding of cats and went ahead with an adventure of studying & becoming a cat to understand this magnifisent creature, This process took me 2 weeks to understand cat anatomy and how I want my monster to be, He is based on a certain bred of cat known as sphynx. This deadly monster is an intelligent creature that roams Egypt for the hunt and his most delicious prey is the lost and scared man.

The process was mostly based on the a consistent feedback gathering from my friend and teammates over Armazda Games, at some point's after the sketching they couldn't choose a good design so I found myself on a spot of trying to convivence them through further development of the piece, and finially everyone was happy with the odjit and I was free.

#1 - How could I Implement the visual flow so I could move the viewer's attention to where I want

S: after so many explorations of different idea's I managed to get a grasp of how visual flows work and used the monster's tail and certain color and light techniques to my advantage

#2 - Learning how to draw cats was a challenge by itself but at some point I realized this creature is just Cute and it is impossible to make a monster out of it.

S: My final solution was through the idea of what makes a animal cute or friendly then after studying it I knew what facial and body feature I should alter to get to my result of creating a sinister creature.
