Arts of Project Garmada

This artwork is for our new upcoming video game project, with the codename of "Project Garmada". My assignment here was to design a story -rich world for the game, then cut a piece of it out so we can have a grasp of what we want to have in our vertical slice of the project (Prototype). The game is going to have multiple cycles of day & night to Special scenarios, I tried to differentiate all of them without altering too much stuff. So, the game's story line happened in the Spain from the old times, so I tried to design this landscape from the Spanish sights and views to have a unique sense.

The camera view of the game is a top-down / semi-Isometric and the idea is that the player is constantly moving around and confronts hordes of enemies and during the day the environment will be calm and peaceful.

#1 - How can I Implement the idea of a tower defense like in this system ? 

S: I took direct advantage of the story in this particular challenge, and made a small village on the right side of the map as a place that player must look out for and protect. 

#2 - idea of two more unusual variation for the endless mode and frenzy mode !

S: I made Sunrise & Upside, available in the works.
